To start, we gave a French lesson. This was a rather ‘easy’ lesson, because we didn’t have to teach anything. Viv was absent today, so we had to take over her class. Viv made some worksheets (les légumes, les snacks, les fruits) and the pupils had to prepare those ones during this lesson. We just walked around and helped everywhere we could, but there were some very rude boys. They refused to work and they haven’t done anything! I first tried to get them onto work, but they just said ‘no I hate French, I won’t do this, I refuse' and some took their mobile phone.
Next, we taught religion. I never want to teach religion again here. I taught this lesson together with Ann about Hinduism. It actually was the lesson itself we didn’t like. In Belgium, I really love to teach religion, even if the pupils aren’t that interested anymore like earlier times, they do show some respect, compared to the pupils here, they don’t. I can compare them to my pupils in Borgerhout, they had the same attitude…
See you tomorrow folks !
